Blood Fever

Blood Fever is book two of Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. The Fever series is a lot darker, more serious, and much more intriguing than her previous books. The Fever series isn't your typical romance, I would describe more as a dark fantasy than a romance.

Grade:*****

Gideon by Jacquelyn Frank

Gideon is book two of Jacquelyn Franks highly popular Nightwalkers series. I found the characters to be believable as well as well developed. The storyline was well written but did contain a lot of information in the beginning. which at times did cause the story to lag.
All in all the story was very interesting but not quite as good as Jacob.

Grade:***
Demons have a thousands-year-old rule forbidding them from having relations with humans. Gideon, the oldest of their race has spent eight years in self-imposed exile after attempting to break that law. Recently returned, guilt-wracked Gideon is finally drawn to the true object of his desire, Magdelegna, the young sister of the demon king Noah.

Jacob by Jacquelyn Frank

Jacob is the first installment of the Nightwalkers series by Jacquelyn Frank. Because of the name of the series, I first thought that Jacob was a vampire story but it's actually about demons. Jacob is a compelling and extremely interesting story with strong likable characters

Grade:****
Since time began, there have been Nightwalkers, the races of the night who live in the shadows of the moonlight. Love with humans is completely forbidden, and one man makes certain to uphold this ancient law: Jacob, the Enforcer, For 700 Years, He Has Resisted Temptation. Until tonight.....

Immune to forbidden desires, or the curse of the moon. His control is total..... until the moment he sees Isabella on a shadowy New York street. Saving her life wasn't in his plans. Nor were the overwhelming feelings she arouses in him.

Night Mischief by Nina Bruhns

Night Mischief by Nina Bruhns is the very enjoyable third installment of the Dark Enchantments series. The story is exceptional with likeable and very well rounded characters. Along with some extremely hot sex scenes.

Howl At The Moon by Christine Warren

Christine Warren returns to the world of The Others in her hot new romance Howl At The Moon. If you enjoy reading about werewolf's and hot alpha males then you won't be disappointed with her newest novel. I found the book to be very well written and completely engrossing. The characters are well rounded and very likable and the chemistry between the two main characters Noah and Samantha is hot, hot, hot.

Grade:*****
Noah Baker finds himself in the difficult position of spying on The Others for the government. This is doubly hard on Noah because not only is he in love with a beautiful werewolf named Samantha. Devil Inside by Jenna Black

Devil Inside is the latest book by the very prolific writer Jenna Black. I found the book to be very well written and interesting. If you enjoy books about strong tough women and sexy demons. Then you will most likely enjoy Devil Inside.
Now for the parts that I didn't enjoy. When the book first starts Morgan is a strong kick-ass Exorcist but about halfway through the book she ends up being more wimpy than anything else. Which just didn't seem to jibe with her character
At times the sex is just a little too much and ends up detracting instead of adding to the story. Please note this book does contain violence, bondage, and some scenes of male lovers. So it may not be some peoples cup of tea. In future sequels I would enjoy more character development and maybe a little less sex.

Grade:***+
Morgan Kingsley is in Topeka Kansas for an exorcism job when she finds that she herself is possessed. And not by just any demon. Lugh the demon King is six feet five inches of dark delicious temptation. Which is more temptation than most women could take.

Revenge Gifts By Cindy Cruciger

Revenge Gifts is a very clever, unique, witty, and oh so wicked debut book by Cindy Cruciger.
Even though this book is already two years old, it was first published in 2005. We felt that it deserved a second look.
Grade : *****
Cindy Cruciger is one of my new favorite authors and I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.
Tara Cole lives in a haunted house and owns a website that specializes in revenge gifts. Such as boxer shorts that set off metal detectors for your cheating lover. Or chocolates for your worst enemy so that you can watch her as she packs on the pounds. And life is good for a while, until someone puts a curse of Tara. A black cat, a black dog, even a black goat appear, followed by even stranger events. It all starts around the time Howard first showed up. Howard wants to go into business with Tara or so he says. But it seems like he really just wants to go to bed with her, or maybe he's the one who really cursed her in the first place.

Demons Kiss by Eve Silver

Now that the Holiday's are almost over and we're facing the long cold month of January. What better time to curl up with a hot cup of chocolate and a good book. And hopefully before you know it spring will be here. Our first book this month is Demon's Kiss by the very talanted Eve Silver. If you love hot romances combined with magic, strong alpha males, and a few evil demons thrown in for good measure then Demon's Kiss is the book for you.
Grade: ****
I found Demon's Kiss to be a very well written and enjoyable book. And will be looking forward to reading the sequel Demon's Hunger.
